Top Halloween Songs to Sing

I did not grow up with Halloween. In the country where I grew up, we celebrated All Souls’ Day by visiting cemeteries and paying respects to our loved ones who passed away. As a child, I never thought that visiting a cemetery is a spooky experience. I remember how I enjoyed lighting up the candles and arranging flowers on the tomb stones of my relatives.

Little did I know about Halloween. When I discovered this fun holiday as an adult, I immersed myself into the world of costumes, Halloween food and drinks, and of course Halloween music. Our household soon became a Halloween party hub where adults and kids (all in costumes) meet to celebrate this festival every year. It’s a holiday that makes you want to party, sing and scream. I don’t want to brag but I am a little bit of an expert on Halloween (the emphasis is on “little bit”).

top Halloween songs to sing

In today’s post, I want to share a list of Halloween songs. Many Halloween songs are difficult to sing, especially if you are not a heavy metal or punk rock singer or a singer with a fully equipped studio that can produce sound effects. The following list features songs that are relatively easy to sing (although some may be more challenging than others). If you are planning a karaoke night on Halloween or just want to sing a Halloween themed song for friends or family, I hope you will find one that tickles your fancy on my list of Halloween songs.

(Click the following links to read my previous blog posts How to Choose the Right Song to Sing and Easy Songs to Sing for Beginners. In these blog posts, I discuss criteria when choosing an appropriate song for your voice to help you find the right song to showcase your vocal abilities.)

The following list does not include notoriously famous Thriller by Michael Jackson. I tried to pick spooky and creepy numbers that are less known but still fun to delight your Halloween listeners and not disturb the dead.
